Oasis together again - 21st July 2025

World-famous band Oasis have had a reunion concert in Cardiff. Fans travelled to Wales from all over the world.

Liam and Noel Gallagher, who are brothers, stopped speaking to each other nearly 16 years ago. Oasis haven't played together since then.

The reunion tickets were sold in a few hours. Some buyers remember the 1990s, but Oasis are also popular with younger people.

Dan Mcatee: "Well, I think everyone's ecstatic. All the old fans will get to see them again. The young fans have never seen them before together. I think everybody is going to be top tier, ten out of ten."

The reunion tour ticket sale opened on 31 August 2024. But fans didn't like how tickets were sold. First, they waited ages in an online queue. Then, the £135 ticket price increased to £355.

The increase was because of 'dynamic pricing'. This system charges a higher price when lots of people try to buy the same item. Concert organisers may choose to use dynamic pricing. But performers can often veto this decision. The Gallagher brothers said that they had no idea about the price increases.

Now that a year's passed, most fans no longer feel annoyed. Instead, they can't wait for the concert, like Eddie Owens and his father, Brad.

Brad Owens: "I can feel the emotion a bit now, getting here and with the vibe and the buzz and everything. You know, and I think it's just going to be the same for everybody. It's, as he said, it's biblical, you know. And I think it is in the true sense of the word."

Eddie Owens: "Oasis means a lot to a lot of people. It's, it's good to see them back, sort of - you know, out for the fans as much as anything, you know. It's definitely, yeah, it'll be, it'll be emotional. It'll be emotional."

Friends Amy, Polly and Makala attended the last Oasis concert. That was back in 2009. This reunion concert's a big celebration for them.

Amy Williams: "I think probably most people are going to cry."

Polly Bainton: "Well, we just spoke to someone on the train, who said - what did she say?"

Amy Williams: "It was monumental."

Polly Bainton: "Historic."

Amy Williams: "Historical."

Makala Zakorova: "It's like Christmas day."

Amy Williams: "It's like Christmas day, yeah."
